Alfraganus University was established in 2022 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It comprises the Faculties of Economics, Philology, Social Sciences, Digital Technologies, Physical Education and Sports, Tourism, General Medicine and Pediatrics, and Dentistry and Pharmacy, offering a total of 46 academic programs. The University also offers master's degree programs and admits students to 11 graduate specialties.
Alfraganus University is named after the renowned Uzbek polymath Ahmad Al-Farghani. He was widely known in Europe under the name “Alfraganus,” and one of the lunar craters was named in his honor.
The University has its own clinic. In addition, it publishes an international scientific journal and a student newspaper. Classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced professors and instructors.
Alfraganus University has established cooperation with nearly 100 higher education institutions around the world. In particular, it is currently engaged in productive collaboration with partners in the United States, Canada, Germany, Türkiye, Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea.

Halkara hyzmatdaşlyk

The number of Alfraganus University’s international partners continues to grow steadily. Cooperation agreements and memoranda have been signed with international and foreign organizations, as well as various educational institutions in Türkiye, India, Japan, France, Germany, China, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Korea, Latvia, the United States, and other countries.
The total number of memoranda has reached 97, including:
– 53 with European countries;
– 11 with Asian countries;
– 9 with universities and organizations in Eastern countries;
– 23 with neighboring Central Asian countries.
A total of 185 professors and instructors of the University have participated in seminars, symposiums, and international conferences held by 35 foreign partner universities upon invitation, thereby enhancing their professional qualifications. In addition, 62 students have undertaken study and internship programs on 11 occasions at some of the most prestigious partner universities in Europe and Asia.
The international conference “One Belt – One Road” is organized annually. In 2024, Alfraganus University hosted the "10th UNESCO-APEID Conference on Entrepreneurship in Education" organized by UNESCO.
